Welcome to the website for NPT Homes, the second largest social landlord in Wales
NPT Homes has over 9000 properties spread throughout the Neath Port Talbot County Borough. We have properties along the coastal plain and in all five valleys in the Borough, The Upper Swansea Valley, Amman Valley, Vale of Neath, Dulais Valley and The Afan Valley. Many of our properties are located in scenic rural locations or on the coast; others are contained in the main towns of Port Talbot, Neath and Pontardawe.
We have 465 properties in sheltered schemes scattered throughout the County Borough. There are also a significant number of properties which are designated for the elderly but which have no scheme manager, allowing ease of access but totally independent living. The rest of the properties are made up of one, two and three bed flats and one, two, three and four bed houses.
By 2017 we will have invested £220 million in improving housing and the communities in which our tenants live to bring homes up to the Welsh Housing Quality Standard (WHQS). What makes NPT Homes special is that we are a not for profit organisation based on the community housing mutual model. This means that we are ‘owned’ by our members, which ensures that our tenants are always at the heart of everything we do. As a not for profit organisation with charitable status, all surpluses will be ploughed back into the organisation to benefit our tenants and their communities.
